Dongshan Island: Failed to see the sunrise.

I planned a two-day trip to Dongshan Island during the National Day holiday, and I had been looking forward to it for a long time. Day 1: Nanmen Bay I took a bullet train to Yunxiao Station early in the morning, and then took a taxi to Dongshan Island. There are many homestays on Dongshan Island, and I was dazzled by the choices on the platform. I finally stayed at Tianmu Light Luxury Homestay Hotel. The price was much higher during the National Day holiday, about CNY 400–500 per night, but it may be only CNY 100+ at other times. However, the homestay was clean, the service was good, and it was close to Nanmen Bay, so it was very convenient to eat and travel. I put down my luggage and went to find lunch. There was a nearby restaurant called Tieniuge Minnan Mixed Rice, which was very popular. The beef mixed rice and ginger duck were very good, and worth a try! After eating, I went to Nanmen Bay. It was cloudy, so it wasn't sunny, but everything looked gray in the photos, which was very frustrating... However, there were still many people taking photos at the popular wall on Ding Street, so I didn't join in the fun. Of course, I had to enjoy seafood on Dongshan Island, and there were seafood stalls everywhere on the island, so I could eat as much as I wanted. In the evening, I went to Yushuiwan Seafood Restaurant near Chaosheng Building and ordered mantis shrimp with salt and pepper, seaweed mixed rice, oyster omelet, and grouper, all of which were delicious. However, the wind was so strong outside the stall that the bowl was blown away, haha! Day 2: Jinluan Bay - Sufeng Mountain Ring Road I got up at 4 am to go to Jinluan Bay to watch the sunrise, but it was blocked by thick clouds. I didn't expect a typhoon during the National Day holiday, and the wind and waves on the beach were getting stronger and stronger, so it was a little cold. I couldn't stand it after 7 am, so I failed to see the sunrise... I then went to the colorful Sufeng Mountain Ring Road, took a tour bus, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, which healed my mood. You can take photos at the Yanya Lovers' Point, which is worth a visit. I was very hungry after going down the mountain, so I went to New Fisherman's Brothers Seafood Restaurant and ordered three-cup chicken and live flower crab to fill my stomach. After eating, I went back to the hotel to pick up my luggage and returned home, ending my trip to Dongshan Island. The cloudy weather before the typhoon made the trip to Dongshan Island less enjoyable, and I didn't see the sunrise, which was a pity. I will come back next time if I have the chance!
