Renovated room but watered down club lounge

#hotelreview litzier competition for the location and convenience while clocking my first 3 Bonvoy nights 🍀 Staying during its refurbishment phase meant facing a much watered down club lounge experience but getting a modern room which was a great space for the trip. Talk about being bummed and relieved at the same time 🙈 I actually wasn’t sure what’s the difference between my booked Superior Room and the upgraded Grand Deluxe Room but it was nonetheless a cosy space with modern Sheraton touches and soothing color theme - loved that they included a proper work desk as well as the chilling sofa corner for those in between times ✅ Housekeeping was a highlight as I had a different animal towel every evening, opened water jug carefully covered, and extra vanity kits replenished every time. These attentive touches sure soothed my soul somewhat after the lack of warmth at check in and a general sense of loss from not having a dedicated club lounge space ☠️ A few other things that I felt impacted how I felt about the stay - thin bedroom slippers, thinnest pillows ever, no bathrobes, and bare bone amenities in the bathroom by default - more stuff including dental kits can be requested for of course but that just adds another to-do on the list before you can wind down for the night which seems mafan especially if you land at night like me. 🤨 Still a good choice considering the price I paid though 🐳
