The story of Greyfriars Bobby

Statue of Greyfriars Bobby sited at the corner of Edinburgh's Candlemaker Row and George IV Bridge, just opposite the Greyfriars Bobby bar. This life-size statue is adorable & iconic, some peoples like to touch its nose for good luck! This is a heart-warming story...Greyfriars Bobby (4 May 1855 – 14 Jan. 1872) was a Skye Terrier, spending 14 years guarding the grave of its owner John Gray until itself died on 14 January 1872, then was buried inside the gate of Greyfriars Kirkyard, not far from John Gray's grave. You can discover more about Greyfriars Bobby by visiting the Museum of Edinburgh on the Royal Mile. #spooktaculartrip
