Zhengzhou🚄Enshi I found that hiking is truly a refreshing and exhilarating experience. The muscle soreness, the mental relaxation, and the sight of vibrant greenery everywhere can make you forget all your worries. In short, this was a spontaneous trip, with tickets booked just 12 hours before departure. It was a weekend trip that didn't require taking any leave. 🚊Transportation Friday night: 23:59 Zhengzhou - 08:40 Enshi Sunday night: 19:13 Enshi - 04:00 Zhengzhou 🏠Accommodation There are many hotels and homestays around. The one we stayed in is not recommended; it cost 400 per night, the room was small and not soundproof. 📆Itinerary Day 1: Luyuanping 8:40🚄 Arrived at Enshi Station, contacted the pre-booked car driver (500 for a day), and drove to Luyuanping. Around 10 o'clock, we passed a tea garden, where we stopped to take some photos. At 10:40, we continued our journey. It started to ☔ on the way, and the rain got heavier as we went deeper into the mountains. We were worried about whether we could reach our destination smoothly. Fortunately, the rain gradually subsided, and we arrived at Luyuanping around noon. ⛰️Surrounded by high mountains, we took the world's longest inclined elevator to reach this last primitive village without road access. It felt like we had stumbled into a paradise, deeply captivated by the scenery here. There are various hiking trails and natural waterfalls, with the most notable being the Xuanlu Rift, formed 250 million years ago‼️. Its extraordinary beauty is a testament to the wonders of nature. 16:30 We left the scenic area, and the driver took us to the guesthouse. We had dinner at the guesthouse's restaurant, but the taste was very average and not recommended. Day 2: Enshi Grand Canyon We had breakfast at the guesthouse. To avoid the crowds, we arrived at the scenic area around 8 o'clock. ▲Enshi Grand Canyon has two main areas: Qixingzhai and Yunlong Rift. Qixingzhai is on the mountain and requires hiking, featuring cliffside walkways, peculiar rocks, and spectacular views of peak forests and sea of clouds. Yunlong Rift is at the foot of the mountain, relatively flat, showcasing canyon waterfalls and river rifts, and is also known as the "most beautiful scar on Earth." Since we had seen the Xuanlu Rift the previous day, we only visited Qixingzhai today, focusing on hiking. Since we only visited Qixingzhai today, we leisurely strolled until 3 PM before leaving. There were many food options on the mountain; the small potatoes and large sausages were delicious, but the cold noodles were average. At 15:30, we took the bus back to Enshi city, which took about 1.5 hours. We had dinner in the city and happily ended this trip.
