Retreat into the mountains, return to nature—The Hermitage in Hubei Series

During the three-day Qingming Festival holiday, we embarked on the Hermitage Series tour, planning to visit 3 places this year. The first stop is the Jiushen Bay project located in the Shennongjia Forest District of Fang County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. Yes, it was the slide of the log cabin that caught my attention, and I booked it a month in advance. 🏕️ Hotel Environment: The hotel is located in the Shennongjia Forest District, close to the Yeren Valley scenic area. It operates independently with a section of homestays and another area open to the public. There were many locals visiting when I went. 🛏️ Room Facilities The rooms are of two types: one is a log cabin with a large bed, and the other is the kind I booked, a double-decker detached log cabin with a slide. The rooms are on two floors, with a large bed on the first floor and a standard room on the second floor. The inconvenience is that there is only one bathroom on the first floor, which is not very convenient for two families to stay. 📚 Amenities The amenities show that the homestay operator is very attentive. There's VOSS bottled water, equipped with a coffee pot, tea set, and the minibar is also quite rich, including soft drinks and beer. The toiletries are all from L'Occitane's verbena series. Although I'm not very fond of the scent of verbena, it is still a trustworthy and reliable big brand for toiletries. 🍴 The hotel has a separate restaurant where you can book meals in advance. The restaurant also has a wide selection of wines, which is very nice! ⭐ Value for Money: Compared to other Hermitage projects that offer an all-inclusive price with butler-style management, where you don't have to worry about meals, the price of this homestay project is a bit lower. However, besides breakfast, you need to arrange dinner yourself, which makes it feel more like a homestay project and slightly unfamiliar. ⚠️ Tips: Self-driving is the best mode of transportation, as the homestay is a bit off the beaten path and public transport cannot reach it. The vegetation around the log cabin is lush, so there are quite a few small insects. Be sure to protect yourself against mosquitoes and bugs.
