Italy Florence Travel Guide

Florence, a must-visit destination in Italy! It can be said to be the city with the highest concentration of churches in Italy! It is also the hometown of poet Dante, painter Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo. Whether it is the architectural artistic beauty or the cultural atmosphere, it is very rich! 📍Recommended Attractions: ⭐️Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore Built in 1296, it is of Gothic style. The dome of the cathedral has a total of 463 steps. After reaching the top, you can enjoy the view of the city center. Next to it is the Giotto's Campanile, which is almost as high as the dome. ⭐️Uffizi Gallery The Uffizi Gallery is known as the "Treasure House of Renaissance Art" and the "Renaissance Museum". The collection here is very rich, including works by masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Botticelli, Titian, and Caravaggio. ⭐️Baptistery of St. John One of the oldest buildings in Florence, it is shaped like a candy box. The octagonal pool in the center of the baptistery has been moved, and visitors can stand directly under the octagonal dome to look up. ⭐️Giotto's Campanile The bell tower has a total height of 85 meters and can also be climbed. There are a total of 414 steps. During the climb, you can gradually see the full view of the dome. After reaching the top, you will experience a breathtaking view that you will remember for a lifetime! ⭐️Piazza della Signoria Piazza della Signoria is surrounded by the Palazzo Vecchio, the Loggia dei Lanzi, and the Gucci Museum. On the other side of the square is the original Gucci Museum, now called Gucci Garden, which includes a restaurant, café, and shop. The restaurant has a Michelin star, and some of the items in the shop are exclusive to Gucci Garden and cannot be found elsewhere. ⭐️Ponte Vecchio This place is lined with gold shops, and the gold jewelry is exquisitely crafted. Jay Chou also checked in here! ⭐️Piazzale Michelangelo It is said that "if you haven't seen the sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo, you haven't been to Florence." This shows how special this place is. From the square, you can have a panoramic view of the center of Florence and enjoy various beautiful sceneries. The best time to visit is at sunset. ⭐️Boboli Gardens Including an open-air theater, lemon trees, grottoes, large and small fountains, and sculptures, it is a representative work of Italian gardens.

Piazzale Michelangelo

The best place to get a truly panoramic view of Florence's skyline. The walk uphill to the square could be quite taxing specially on a hot summer day so try to time it in the early morning or in the late afternoon. I chose the afternoon to coincided the climb with the sunset over the River Arno.#境外遊 #awesomepic

Piazzale Michelangelo

Piazzale Michelangelo is the best place for scenic lookout in Florence. The night scene at dusk is magnificent. Florence has three statues of David. This third one appeals to many photographers. Looking at the old town of Florence in the square, you can command a panoramic view of historic buildings, red tiles, Arno and Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore.
