The old side of Funchal

To the west of Madeira’s capital there has been rapid development since the tourist boom and the area is full of chain hotels. However take a trip to its east side and it’s a completely different stories. The old town still retains much of the charm that first brought visitors to the island with restaurants serving up local cuisine, historic buildings and fantastic views to be found along its cobble stoned streets. #celebrateit #oldtown #madeira
