Yuguzhou Tower has been a famous tourist attraction in Ganzhou since the Tang Dynasty. It is one of the Eight Views of Qianzhou and one of the three towers of the "Three Towers" of the Eight Views of the Qing Dynasty. Many famous people throughout history, such as Li Bo, Su Dongpo, Xin Qiji, Yue Fei, Wen Tianxiang, Wang Yangming, and Guo Moruo, have left poems here. Among them, the most famous is the Southern Song Dynasty poet Xin Qiji, who wrote the famous poem "Bodhisattva Man" while serving in Ganzhou, making Yuguzhou Tower famous. In June 1965, Guo Moruo climbed Yuguzhou Tower and wrote a poem in response to Xin Qiji's poem. Yuguzhou Tower is the highest point in the old city of Ganzhou, with a three-story wooden structure building on top, and is a provincial-level key scenic spot. From the top of Yuguzhou Tower, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the beautiful mountains and rivers of Ganzhou. The exact date of the construction of Yuguzhou Tower is unknown. During the Tang Dynasty, Li Mian, the governor of Qianzhou, climbed the tower and renamed it "Wangque." In the 17th year of the Shaoxing period of the Song Dynasty, Zeng Zao, the governor of Ganzhou, built two more towers: the southern one was called "Yuguzhou Tower," and the northern one was called "Wangque Tower." After several renovations, it was still called "Yuguzhou Tower." It was rebuilt in 1982 in the style of the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. The tower has three floors, is 17 meters high, and covers an area of 300 square meters. It is a key cultural relic unit in Ganzhou City.
