Kuan Yin Teng @Penang

The Goddess of Mercy Temple or Guan Yin Teng at Georgetown Penang is the oldest Taoist temple in Penang. Built in 1728 by Chinese Hokkien and Cantonese communities, this temple is the most important Chinese temple in Penang. The architecture is very beautiful, and well maintained. Visitors are allowed to enter the temple and make devotion by lighting the candle. The burning joystick is allowed but within external of the temple. This temple also provides praying for certain Chinese zodiacs for their well-being.
