This “starry” ceiling in Nasrid Palace took my breath away

#celebrateit Beyond the structural beauty, Nasrid Palace has some of the most intricate Islamic decorative art in the world. The walls are covered in stucco carvings, ceramic tiles, and calligraphic inscriptions, each serving a symbolic and aesthetic purpose. The repeating geometric patterns reflects the Islamic concept of infinity and boundless divine perfection. The inscriptions often feature Quranic verses, Nasrid mottos, and poetic praises of the sultan. The most breathtaking part, to me, has to be the otherworldly ceiling of the Hall of the Two Sisters, which resembles a starry sky.
