Along the way, the sunlight was like tiny pieces of gold leaf, pouring down through the gaps in the branches and leaves, creating a play of light and shadow, like the light footprints of time, leading me step by step closer to the sacred place sealed by time, yet overflowing with legendary fragrance. As soon as I arrived at He Xiangu's former residence, the ancient and rich atmosphere was like a light veil brushing my face, lingering in my heart. The blue tiles were arranged in an orderly manner, like fish scales, shimmering with a warm luster in the sunlight; the white walls were as pure as snow, like the blank spaces of history, quietly telling the stories of the past; the flying eaves were like the light tails of swallows, and the brackets were like exquisite mortise and tenon chapters, all showcasing the elegant architectural rhythm. The wooden doors and windows, and the door rings, after years of wear and tear, seemed to hide the secret language of time in the wood grain, whispering the forgotten stories. In the center of the courtyard, an ancient tree stood tall, with a thick trunk and lush branches and leaves, like a steadfast guardian of time, silently witnessing the changes of dynasties and the passing of people. It is said that He Xiangu used to play and laugh under this tree when she was a child. Standing beside it now, with the light and shadow swaying, it seemed as if her lively figure was dancing in the halo of time, like a dream, making people yearn for it. Entering the house, although the furnishings were simple and plain, they exuded a sense of tranquility and serenity. The paintings hanging on the walls, with delicate brushstrokes and smooth lines, vividly depicted He Xiangu's gentle face and extraordinary temperament; the written records were detailed and vivid, from the auspicious light and clouds at her birth, to her benevolent heart in healing the world, to her transcendence and ascension, each story was like a magical key, opening the door to the mysterious past, captivating and intoxicating. Thinking of the past, He Xiangu lived here, with compassion in her heart, healing the sick and relieving the suffering, her light of kindness and love shining through the ages, still dazzling like stars, gently touching the heartstrings of every visitor, stirring up ripples of emotion. Around the former residence, the mountains stretched endlessly, like the spine of the earth, shrouded in mist, creating an ethereal beauty like a fairyland. Walking slowly along the winding path, the earthy scent and the fragrance of grass and trees intertwined, fresh and pleasant; the melodious chirping of birds and the babbling of streams echoed each other, like a harmonious symphony of nature. It is said that He Xiangu often went into the mountains to gather herbs, absorbing the essence of heaven and earth, and gathering the spirit of the sun and moon. At this moment, I was immersed in this landscape, as if I was also being nourished and baptized by the spirit of nature, the noise and disturbance of the world seemed like a thin mist, gradually dissipating in this pure land, leaving only a clear and bright heart, as if washed by a clear spring. This trip to He Xiangu's former residence in Zengcheng was undoubtedly a deep dialogue with history, an intimate embrace with legend, and a spiritual fusion with nature.
