Northwest's First Post, China's Most Beautiful Town

Baihaba Village (Baihaba Scenic Area) is known as the first village and first post in the northwest. It is located in Tierenkete Township, Habahe County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang, on the border between China and Kazakhstan, only 1.5 kilometers from East Silek, Kazakhstan, connected by a national defense highway. From Baihaba Village, you can see the mountains of Kazakhstan. 'China Geography' has rated Baihaba Village as one of the eight most beautiful towns in China. Baihaba is a village where primitive natural ecology and ancient traditional culture coexist. Everything still retains the original appearance of hundreds of years ago, mainly inhabited by the Tuva people. The dense pine forests on the Altai Mountains extend into Baihaba Village. The wooden houses where villagers live and the fences for livestock are scattered among the pine and birch forests in an orderly manner. In the morning, you can see eagles circling and gliding in the sky, giving a sense of tranquility and harmony in Baihaba. The village is located in a valley, built on a narrow terrace between two small streams, nestled against the mountains and water. All buildings in the village are made of logs, marked by rustic small wooden houses, featuring a European-style village. Baihaba is truly impressive. In the morning, when you open the door, you are greeted by the herdsmen's hunting dogs, and a few fearless calves secretly observing you. The scent of pine and birch trees in the air, accompanied by the sound of babbling streams, is truly a remedy for the soul. The temperature difference between day and night in Baihaba is significant, so keep warm. Do not have high expectations for accommodation conditions. Overall, it is not very good. If you are particularly concerned, do not come. Hot water for bathing can be met, but other conditions are just so-so.
