The birds are everywhere and sometimes they are startled and start rising up together and fly rapidly in circles making a lot of noise before settling down again. It is fascinating to watch. There are other interesting things to see in this area, such as the rugged rocks and sea views. A short distance from the Shrine is The Marient Hachinohe City Fisheries Science Museum which is also worth a visit.
