Handan Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Martyrs Cemetery

The Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu Martyrs Cemetery is located in Handan, Hebei Province. It is the first large-scale revolutionary memorial building built after the founding of the People's Republic of China. It is also the earliest and largest martyrs cemetery in China, with the most inscriptions and epitaphs by the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries. Here lie the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the revolution, and their glorious years of struggle for the revolutionary cause of the motherland will always be remembered. The cemetery covers a vast area, divided into north and south courtyards, with a rigorous layout and magnificent momentum. At the entrance, a towering martyrs memorial tower comes into view, with inscriptions by the older generation of revolutionaries such as Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, and Zhu De, highlighting the heroic deeds and noble spirit of the revolutionary martyrs. Below the tower, the white marble relief on the bluestone altar is carved with fire patterns, cloud patterns, and five stars, symbolizing the revolutionary martyrs who have undergone the baptism of blood and fire, always illuminating the road ahead for us. In the park, the tombs of martyrs such as General Zuo Quan are solemn and solemn, and the People's Heroes Memorial Tomb is even more magnificent, symbolizing the commemoration of all revolutionary martyrs who died in the Jin-Ji-Lu-Yu border area. Their revolutionary spirit will be preserved and passed on here, inspiring future generations to keep moving forward.
