Millennium Yew

Again, the millennium yew. Unlike the resort from the last vacation, this time it's free of charge, but it's a bit further away. You need to drive from Yanji, pass through Hunchun, then to Huanggou Forest Farm No.1, which seems to be within the range of Antu County, and it takes about another hour. The last photo has the specific name for navigation, and then you need to walk a bit further into the mountains. There is a 2800-year-old yew by the roadside not far away, but it was struck by lightning and only half of it is left, hollowed out. Another 2000-year-old yew is at a further location, requiring climbing approximately 1600 steps to see. The wooden steps in the mountains have been there for many years, giving a feeling of returning to the primeval forest. If you can't find the way, you can first navigate to Huanggou Forest Farm and then ask the local people there. For local tourism within Yanbian Prefecture, consider visiting, although it's a bit hard to find. The local forest farm cultivates yew seedlings which are available for sale. It is said that anti-cancer substances can be extracted from yew.
