Yue Fei Temple, also known as Yuewang Temple, was first built in 1221 during the Southern Song Dynasty. It was originally called Baozhongyanfu Zen Temple, and was renamed Zhonglie Temple during the Tianshun period of the Ming Dynasty. It was called Yuewang Temple because Yue Fei was posthumously named King of E. The temple has been destroyed and rebuilt many times throughout history. The current layout was formed after the temple was rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty. The temple is divided into three parts: the cemetery, Zhonglie Temple, and Qizhong Temple. The temple was damaged during the Cultural Revolution, and was rebuilt in 1979. The temple consists of Zhonglie Temple, the Yue Fei Memorial Hall, the Stele Corridor, and the Tomb of Yue Fei. In front of the tomb are iron statues of four treacherous officials, including Qin Hui, kneeling. In 1961, the Tomb of Yue Fei was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit.
