A place for many things

#myhiddengems When people pick a place to travel, more often intends to be based on their preferences. If i like a place with mountains, i pick xyz, if I want lakes, if i want history, shopping, night life, museums etc accordingly I pick something. What if a place had all of that? Exactly, that's what I think about Heidelberg. I think I liked it the moment i first stepped out to get a glimpse. A serene setting around the Old Bridge and the castle, abundant choice of culture gems, entertainment wherever you go and hearty yet beautiful cuisine. All of that in a place nestled between a River and the foothills of a gorgeous forest. The centre of the Old Town is the Marktplatz square, which boasts one of Heidelberg's many beautiful fountains, grand period houses, cafés and even more pretty little shops. Not to mention the famous Church of the Holy Spirit. From here it's just a stone's throw to the Kornmarkt, which many see as the city's most beautiful square. Let me make my case here, what do some of the most beautiful cities in Europe have in common? Paris, Prague, Lucerne, porto...all have a bridge, and an old town. Now, that setting may not be with many cities in Germany.
