Nanyue Temple, located at the foot of Mount Heng, is one of the largest ancient temples in the south, covering an area of 98,500 square meters. This is also the main temple of the Fire God Zhurong, paired with the Zhurong Temple at the peak of Mount Heng's Zhurong Peak, together they protect the land of Nanyue. Nanyue Temple is known as the dragon's head, while Zhurong Temple is known as the dragon's tail. Inside Nanyue Temple, there are not only Buddhist temples but also Taoist palaces, located on both sides of the temple, with the central axis buildings styled in Confucianism.
