✨Shigu Academy, along with Songyang Academy, Bailudong Academy, and Yuelu Academy, are known as the four great academies of ancient China. ✨Shigu Academy is located in Shigu District, Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It was first established in the fifth year of Yuanhe in the Tang Dynasty (810 AD) and is one of the important birthplaces of Hunan culture. ✨Shigu Academy is mainly composed of Wuhou Temple, Li Zhongjie Temple, Daguan Tower, Qixian Temple, Jingye Hall, Hejiang Pavilion and other buildings. It was once famous for its large collection of books, prosperous academic style, and great achievements. It is the earliest academy in ancient China founded by private individuals. ✨The academy is beautiful, with green trees, pavilions, and flying eaves.
