Four Points by Sheraton Shunde, Heshan - A presence that transcends Sheraton itself

📍Location: Next to Dayan Mountain Scenic Area in Heshan, Jiangmen I didn't have high expectations for this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. Although it's branded as Four Points by Sheraton, everything except for the mattresses reaches the Sheraton standard (even surpassing my last experience at the Sheraton in Nansha, Guangzhou 🙄🙄) ------ I checked in on Sunday. The hotel covers a large area, and the overall design and aesthetics are on point. The public areas are luxurious, and even the corridors outside the rooms are spacious and grand. However, there is a strange perfume smell in the lobby 😅 The front desk upgraded me to a mountain view suite and provided welcome fruit. The young lady at the desk spoke softly and was very pleasant. However, when I inquired about the availability of the hot springs, I was told they were closed due to the weather. ------ ✅Rooms The mountain view suite consists of a living room and a master bedroom, each with a balcony overlooking the lush greenery of Dayan Mountain, offering a very serene and fresh atmosphere. The living room and master bedroom each have a bathroom, with the master bathroom being exceptionally large and well-divided. The only downside is that the mattresses are really the softest in China, and the elderly at home fought to sleep on the living room sofa, which was more comfortable than the bed 😅 ------ ✅Lounge No lounge ------ ✅Restaurant The breakfast variety is moderate, and the taste is above average. The replenishment of food is timely, and the omelette is excellent 😋 The restaurant overlooks the garden, providing a refreshing view, but the downside is the presence of mosquitoes, some of which even land on the food 🙃 ------ ✅Gym and Pool The entire third floor is a recreation center, with beautiful wooden stairs but no elevator, so you have to climb 😅 The swimming pool is on the first basement level, with few people and good water quality. The spa and sauna steam room inside the changing room are fantastic, reminiscent of the experience at the Qingyuan Qianli Hotel. ✅Children's Playground The indoor playground is on the first floor of the recreation center, with a pirate ship ball pit and slides; the outdoor playground is located in the garden, also featuring small slides, swings, and climbing frames, suitable for young children. The third floor of the recreation center and next to the restaurant also have some paid electric games for children. ✅Garden The garden covers an area of over 2000 square meters, with a small chapel ⛪, windmill, serpentine bridge, and pond for enjoying the view of fish 🐟 and taking a stroll. ----- ✅Service Overall, the service is good, but I couldn't find channels like CNN on the hotel TV. I asked the staff, who said they would investigate, but in the end, they didn't explain why. ----- ✅Location and Surrounding Attractions The hotel is about an 8-minute walk from the west gate of Dayan Mountain, and you can plan for 2-3 hours of sightseeing. There is also a water town nearby, and dining options are limited. You can drive to Wudong Village within 5 kilometers for beef, or try the local river snail rice noodle chicken.
