Film Archive holds "Stories from Film Stills" exhibition

​The relationship between film and photography is inseparable, and both are based on the technology and aesthetics of film. The Hong Kong Film Archive (Hong Kong Film Archive) of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) will hold the "Stories from Film Stills" exhibition in the Archive's Exhibition Hall from November 5 to March 13 next year, allowing the audience to appreciate the stories told by each still. The exhibition displays nearly 100 exhibits, including the earliest stills in the archives’ collection, stills from lost films, hand-colored stills, flat special effects stills made using darkroom technology, and various film promotional materials made from stills. Exclusive interviews with several photographers and film publicists will also be played on site, and the photographers’ shooting tools and personally selected stills will be exhibited. In addition, the archive has specially created several Instagram filters.
