Hong Kong Hiking Station Nineteen - Phoenix Trail Sections Five and Six

Phoenix Trail Sections Five and Six are about 10 kilometers (L035—055) from Shenqu Road to Tai O, taking three hours. From Shenqu Road (L035) up the mountain, passing through 434 meters of Guanyin Mountain, 459 meters of Qiang Mountain, and 490 meters of Linghui Mountain. Among them, Guanyin Mountain is not on the route, and it takes about half an hour to go back and forth. From several mountain tops, you can overlook the Shibi Reservoir and Dongwan to the southeast, the Phoenix Mountain to the northeast, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to the north. The grass on the top of the mountain is very spectacular. The difficulty of these mountains is not too great, but the wind is too strong today, and it is almost impossible to stand on the top of the mountain, as if to be blown away by the wind. I also saw a helicopter hovering around Phoenix Mountain, as if it was rescuing. After passing Linghui Mountain, the road is downhill, which is relatively easy. The first half is all dirt roads and stone steps, and the second half occasionally has a few sections of cement roads. At L050, there is a "Dragon Boy Enlightenment Garden" (Figure 19), which is a private villa garden that was once open but is now abandoned. L055 is actually the starting point of Section Seven. Walk for 10 minutes to the bus stop, where you can take bus No. 11 back to Tung Chung.
