Yuen Long Kam Tin | A Japanese-style Cafe with Tatami Indoors and a Japanese Garden Outdoors

A few days ago, I ventured to the northwest to explore some cafes around Kam Tin. Kachimushi is a Japanese-style cafe with tatami indoors and a Japanese garden outdoors. They offer Japanese main dishes and drinks, such as soba noodles and grilled rice balls 🍙, and of course, coffee. The tea sets here have a sense of ceremony and keep the tea warm. If you find plain tea too monotonous, you can opt for the roasted rice-flavored genmaicha milk tea, which is quite distinctive. A must-try dessert is the Dutch Baby Pancake. Made to order, it's a popular choice at this cafe. Dining time is 90 minutes. The tatami seating feels like a private space, making it suitable for large gatherings of friends, but remember to wear socks to sit. The outdoor Japanese garden, which was previously a popular spot for photos online, is currently closed. It's a bit of a pity. . .
