A Tribute to Light and Shadow: Visiting the Church of Light in Osaka.

First Day: A Tranquil Journey of Light and Shadow In the early morning, I arrived at the Church of Light in Ibaraki, Osaka. This church, designed by the renowned architect Tadao Ando, is famous for its minimalist style and the use of light and shadow. Upon entering the church, I was greeted by an overwhelming sense of tranquility. The exposed concrete walls and the natural light inside create an indescribable sense of sanctity. The cross on the front wall, outlined by light, is simple yet powerful, deeply moving. In the afternoon, I sat quietly inside the church, feeling the interplay of light and shadow in the space, and my mind became clear and pure. Second Day: A Dialogue Between Architecture and Nature The next day, I chose to visit nearby attractions in Ibaraki to continue my exploration of architecture and nature. In the morning, I strolled through the lush Ibaraki Park, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of nature. In the afternoon, I visited another building designed by Tadao Ando—the Ibaraki City Library, experiencing the perfect combination of modern architecture and cultural space. At sunset, I returned to the Church of Light, where the soft evening glow intertwined with the light and shadow of the church, creating a tribute between heaven and earth. These two days of travel were not only a physical journey but also a cleansing of the soul.
