Explore Istanbul

Istanbul is the only city in the world that spans two continents, Europe and Asia. It was the capital of three ancient empires: the Roman Empire, the Byzantine Empire, and the Ottoman Empire. Since ancient times, Istanbul has been known for its excellent geographical location, rich historical sites, and fascinating fusion culture. From cultural landscapes to natural landscapes, Istanbul is a place that will leave you wanting more. Only when you come to Istanbul will you understand what is meant by the "capital of the world." What is even more unexpected is that the most romantic thing about this city is its public transportation: the ferry. When the ship's whistle sounds, echoing across the continents of Europe and Asia, you can see the colorful clouds and the sea. The ship slowly leaves the city, and the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Galata Tower are all bathed in the twilight of the night. Taksim Square is not very large, and its landmark building is the Independence Monument in the center of the square, which symbolizes the Turkish War of Independence and the Republic. Taksim Square is surrounded by commercial areas, and the streets are very prosperous. The most representative is the pedestrian street called Istiklal Avenue (meaning "Independence Avenue"). The street is two or three kilometers long, and both sides are stone buildings built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The ground floors are all shops, and tourists and pedestrians wander around, shopping or strolling, creating a lively scene. We walked among them, experiencing the Turkish style.
