Yaan Yunfeng Temple

This is an unexpectedly impressive destination. At the entrance of the temple, there is a forest of Phoebe zhennan trees, lush and majestic. Especially notable are the two 1700-year-old Phoebe zhennan trees flanking the entrance. The one on the left is known as the King of Phoebe zhennan, exuding an imposing aura, stretching robustly towards the sky. The one on the right, also 1700 years old, has a trunk that appears more graceful yet equally vigorous, somewhat reminiscent of the swaying bodhisattvas in Cave 45 of the Mogao Caves. These two trees, one strong and one gentle, embody the harmony of yin and yang, truly masterpieces of nature. The main halls of Yunfeng Temple are arranged sequentially behind the temple gate, staggered and orderly, exuding a serene and ancient charm. Notices in the temple state that they do not charge for food, lodging, merit, or entrance fees. Such temples are incredibly rare, making one feel that the Buddha truly resides in the chants of the devotees and in the hearts of the pilgrims.
