Located near Lotus Pond, this art palace is renowned for its modern architecture and rich exhibits. Stepping into the museum, the interplay of light and shadow in the exhibition halls felt dreamlike. I enjoyed a special exhibition themed 'City and Nature,' which incorporated the unique harbor city charm of Kaohsiung, leaving a profound visual and emotional impact. In the afternoon, I strolled through the sculpture park surrounding the museum. The lush green lawns and diverse sculptures complemented each other, making it an ideal place for contemplation and photography. In the evening, I chose to relax at a nearby cultural and creative café, savoring local specialty coffee and desserts, reminiscing about the artistic aftertaste. Day 2: Connecting City and Culture On the second day, I decided to delve deeper into Kaohsiung's urban culture, starting with the Pier-2 Art Center, where I admired exhibition spaces and street art transformed from warehouses. After lunch, I headed to Lotus Pond near the museum to experience the blend of classical and modern scenery. I took a boat ride on the lake, viewing iconic structures like the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas and the Spring and Autumn Pavilions. In the evening, I returned to the art market outside the museum, appreciating handicrafts and street performances, and ended the trip with a sense of fulfillment. These two days allowed me to deeply feel the seamless integration of art and the city, like a magnificent symphony resonating in my heart.
