Meteora monetary

#voyagevibes Monasteries built on the top of a rocky mountain about 600m high that towers into the sky. In the 14th century, there were about 24 monasteries in the Thessaly plain in central Greece, but only about 6 are still active today. The floating monasteries, born from the fusion of the power of nature and faith, are truly impressive. The interior of the church is a treasure trove of Byzantine art with glittering frescoes and icons (holy paintings).
