Dongchuan Red Land

Dongchuan Red Land is located in the northeast of Kunming city. Due to the high content of iron and aluminum in the soil, it forms dazzling red colors. The land is divided into various color blocks by fields and crops. From a distance, it is colorful and set against the blue sky and white clouds. Plus, the admission is free. The best time of the year is during the maturation of wheat in April-May, the vigorous growth of buckwheat and rapeseed from September to December, and some residual snow in the fields from February to March. You can also stay overnight in Huashitou Village. Most of the village is farm inns, which are relatively cheap, but the hygiene conditions are acceptable. The inns provide meals at a reasonable price, which can be conveniently solved nearby.
