✅ Haihong Wetland Park is located on Hubin Road, Xishan District, Kunming City, and is an extension of Dianchi Lake. It is open to the public for free. ✅ Transportation 🚗 Self-driving: Navigate to "Haihong Wetland Park". There are two parking lots at the northeast gate and north gate of the park. 🚌 Bus: Take bus K31 to Hubin Road Station and walk 109 meters; or take bus 106 to Haigeng Park East Gate Station and walk 919 meters. 🚇 Metro: Take line 5 to Fubao Station, exit B, and walk about 1.2 km. ✅ Things to do ✨ Birdwatching: Winter is a good time for birdwatching. You can watch and feed seagulls by Dianchi Lake or around small lakes, but pay attention to safety and keep your belongings with you to avoid dropping them into Dianchi Lake while taking photos. ✨ Sightseeing: There are large areas of metasequoia forest in the park, which are colorful in autumn and winter. You can also enjoy the beautiful sunset over Dianchi Lake. ✨ Boating: You can row a boat through the metasequoia forest and experience a unique water forest tour. The cost is CNY 90/boat/hour, with a deposit of CNY 100. There will be a fee for overtime. There are transparent boats for three/two people and small bamboo boats to choose from (the forest is very small). ✨ Cycling: You can rent a multi-person bicycle in the park and enjoy the fun of cycling. ✅ Recommended routes 1⃣️ Classic and relaxing route: Main entrance - Wetland landscape area - Dianchi Lake viewing platform - Forest oxygen bar - Parent-child amusement area - Main entrance. Suitable for the whole family to play together, you can enjoy the main attractions without getting too tired. 2⃣️ Wetland ecological experience route: Main entrance - Wetland science popularization square - Bird watching pavilion - Wetland plank road - Water forest. You can learn about wetland knowledge, observe water birds and aquatic plants, and feel the wonders of the wetland ecosystem. 3⃣️ Dianchi Lake scenery viewing route: East gate - Dianchi Lake lakeside trail - Haigeng Dam - Xishan Longmen Cableway lower station. You can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Dianchi Lake and take the cableway to Xishan Longmen. 4⃣️ Parent-child leisure and entertainment route: South gate - Children's amusement area - Picnic lawn - Sea of flowers - Cute pet park. Children can play in the amusement area, family members can enjoy food on the picnic lawn, and you can also enjoy the sea of flowers and cute pets. ❤️ Notes 1⃣️ There are more people on weekends or holidays, so it is recommended to travel at off-peak times. 2⃣️ The temperature difference between morning and evening is large, so you need to bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes. 3⃣️ Barbecues, littering, and other uncivilized behaviors are prohibited in the park.
