Exploring Fushimi Sake Breweries - Fujioka Sake Brewery

Kyoto's Fushimi Ward is home to numerous sake breweries, renowned for its excellent water quality, famously known as Fushimizu. The most famous of these is Gokosui. This time, we took a stroll around the Fushimi area to experience a different side of Kyoto, visiting several local breweries. Among them, Fujioka Sake Brewery stands out as a relatively small, family-run operation, but their dedication to brewing is unwavering. Inside the brewery, there is a small tasting bar offering freshly brewed sake, making it a worthwhile visit.
