Autumn colors in Kyoto 🍁

The autumn colors have peaked in early December and soon will give way to winter. Visiting the quieter temples or walking further past the crowds allows you to have a peaceful experience. Pictured here are: • Fushimi Inari Thousand Toriis (1) I recommend the hike to the summit of Mt Inari, wearing good shoes because it’s about 5km roundtrip. It’s quieter at the top and easy to take beautiful photos. • Nanzen-ji Temple Complex (2,3,4,5) If you go past Saishō-in temple, you will access Kyoto Trail Higashiyama 39. It’s a beautiful hike. • Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple This temple is very small but the statues everywhere are a beautiful sight and it’s a pleasant walk back down to town from the temple. The walk down takes around 25 minutes to Arashiyama station. #myitinerary #japan
