A vacation in Langkawi, Malaysia, is not complete without a stay at The Ritz-Carlton!

Langkawi is one of the most coveted scenic spots in Southeast Asia and the most popular holiday island in Malaysia, located at the exit of the Strait of Malacca leading to the Andaman Sea, close to Thailand. Nestled in a secluded bay of Langkawi, The Ritz-Carlton is surrounded by rainforests, lush and verdant, overlooking the Andaman Sea, tranquil and serene. The hotel draws on the essence of local culture to create a unique island experience and also showcases the infinite charm of the local ancient village 'Kampung'! Not only does the hotel have a private beach, but it also enjoys the entire bay. Backed by a hundred million years of primeval tropical rainforest, it is especially convenient to go to the market, airport, or the marine national park! This Ritz-Carlton is just perfect for a romantic getaway. We booked a five-day, four-night stay in a beach pool villa, with a huge private pool that not only leads directly to the beach but also offers a stunning sea view, allowing us to watch the sunset every day! The room features the typical Ritz-Carlton resort style. The usually dark tones of the Ritz's resort rooms reflect the brand's solidity and heritage, and the use of localized elements to enrich the room's colors is an important way to make each Ritz-Carlton resort unique, and Langkawi's Ritz-Carlton is no exception! During my stay, I dined and drank at several of the hotel's restaurants and bars. My favorite was the Horizon Bar, an overwater bar with an infinity pool, and it's an adults-only pool - amazing! Although I could watch the sunset from my own villa, I still came here every day for a few drinks at sunset before going to other restaurants for dinner, utterly enjoyable!
