Libo Xiaoqikong (Travel Guide for Budget Travelers

(Personal experience, for reference only) Reference: It was raining on the day (since it was a light rain, it did not affect the beauty of Xiaoqikong at all), and we arrived at Xiaoqikong just after ten in the morning. Stunning! We chose to enter from the East Gate. If you plan to tour the whole area, you must buy a bus ticket, it's incredibly useful, truly a leg-saver. I personally feel that entering from the West Gate is much better, as you can walk downhill all the way. If you enter from the East Gate, you'll be walking uphill, which is more tiring. However, you can also choose to enter from the East Gate, take the bus all the way to the West Gate, and then enjoy the tour downhill. (The reason for this choice is that there is a direct bus from the high-speed train station to the East Gate for 10 yuan, and to the West Gate for 38 yuan. If you don't mind the price difference, you can go directly to the West Gate—but as a budget-conscious student, I care about this difference) Tour route from the East Gate (unlimited bus rides, it is recommended to sit on the left side of the sightseeing bus to enjoy the scenery, the bus stops and tour routes are shown in the last picture): 1️⃣ Xiaoqikong Ancient Bridge Station (get off here), walk a bit (I suggest walking the path under the mountain opposite the stone bridge, where you can take photos easily, beautiful!) to the waterfall. There's also a very picturesque spot next to the waterfall where you can take photos with the waterfall. Further ahead is the Flying Stone Waterfall (Picture 12), where you can take funny photos (like spitting out the waterfall haha). 2️⃣ We walked all the way to the Forest on Stone Station (this is quite a distance, and it's all uphill, quite tiring, so it's recommended to tour from the West Gate to the East Gate, but the scenery is very good, Pictures 9-13 were all taken along this route). 3️⃣ Took the bus to Turtle Back Mountain Station, this station mainly features the Water Forest (I don't really recommend this attraction). Maybe because of the rain, I didn't like the Water Forest much, the paths were not easy to walk, uphill, and quite far. 4️⃣ Took the bus from the Water Forest Station to the Emerald Lake Station (Picture 8) which has a small waterfall, not as nice as the one at Xiaoqikong Station, but also quite unique. Continue walking forward, you must get off at this station to take the sightseeing bus to the Wetland Station that goes to Wolong Pool. The scenery along this route is also quite nice (Pictures 6, 7). 5️⃣ Mandarin Duck Lake Station, you can get off here, taking a boat should be beautiful, but I didn't go. One reason is because of the rain, and the other is that two people would have to pay for three boat tickets (including the boatman's ticket), and after calculating, it didn't seem worth it, so I didn't go. 6️⃣ Highlight⚠️ Wolong Pool, really too beautiful!!! The tranquility of the trees, the coolness after the rain, the rustling of the bamboo, the blue-green lake, a perfect spot for photography, a lifetime photo can be taken here. (You can take it at the spot of Picture 1, a half-body shot is very beautiful. There are also several small stones by the lake, sitting on them for photos is also super beautiful!!) The waterfall in Picture 5 is also not bad, there were a lot of aunties taking group photos there, still very spectacular. 7️⃣ For those who didn't eat at noon, you can bring your own food, or buy Zhengxin chicken cutlets at the entrance of the scenic area or just inside the scenic area, I really regretted not buying an extra piece, I was so hungry, it's very tiring to tour, like a super soldier, pretend I never mentioned it. Also regretted not buying the 10 yuan meat sausages, two for 10 yuan, inside the scenic area it's 10 yuan for one.
