The Majestic Lucca Cathedral in Italy

Inside the cathedral, you'll find beautiful stained glass windows, grand sculptures, and paintings. Despite Lucca being a compact city, the cathedral stands out as truly majestic. The ceiling, which is 27.5 meters high, is particularly striking with its deep blue color. The four Evangelists are depicted, creating a solemn atmosphere. In the sacristy, you'll find the tomb of Ilaria del Carretto, the wife of Paolo Guinigi, the de facto ruler of Lucca. Her tombstone sculpture is so beautifully crafted that she appears to be peacefully sleeping, captivating all who see it.
