Kunming's snow town is a time- and money-saving destination.

Take a bus from Kunming North Bus Station to Zhuanlong for CNY 38. The bus takes 3 hours and doesn't enter the scenic area. After getting off the bus, you can take a black cab to the scenic area for CNY 30 per person. Remember to get the driver's phone number and arrange a return time. The return trip to Kunming costs about CNY 90 per person and takes about 1.5 hours to the city center. Tickets We recommend buying the CNY 299 package, which includes admission, a shuttle bus, and two cable cars. We bought the CNY 225 package in advance, which includes admission, a shuttle bus, and one cable car. However, the small package requires you to climb the mountain, and if you climb slowly, you may miss the last bus at 5:30 pm. Climbing the mountain is also very tiring. Equipment Wear quick-drying clothes as a base layer. The temperature difference on Jiaozi Snow Mountain is huge, and you'll sweat if you wear too much. Quick-drying clothes are great for wicking away sweat. Wear a sweater or fleece jacket in the middle and a down jacket on the outside. Wear non-slip hiking boots, or add shoe spikes to regular shoes. The mountain walkways are covered in snow and are very slippery. Don't wear regular sneakers, as they get wet and aren't non-slip. Bring gloves, a hat, a scarf, wool socks, sunglasses, and a thermos to make your trip more comfortable. Food You don't need to bring much food. If you get hungry, there are many aunties selling fried potatoes and rice noodles halfway up the mountain. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. Don't bring instant noodles or self-heating pots, as they're a hassle and take up space. Attractions First cable car Take retro American-style photos with a full sense of fashion. Halfway road After the first cable car, take the shuttle bus to the halfway road, which is perfect for taking road trip photos. Snowfield After the second cable car, take photos in the snowfield. The snow-covered trees are great for emotional photos. Walkway The walkway up the mountain is perfect for photos. Any pose looks great. Viewing platform The wind and blue sky are perfect for back and full-body photos, as if you're one with the sky and snow mountain. Xiaotianchi Take photos of tourists leaning on the railing to capture the beauty of Xiaotianchi. Xiaotianchi walkway Some people climb over the railing to take photos in the snowfield, creating a romantic atmosphere like in "Love Letter." Summit sign Take a commemorative photo here to prove you've conquered Jiaozi Snow Mountain. Notes Be safe, especially in snowy areas. Follow the scenic area's instructions.
