Paco park

#manilatrip Paco Park was once Manila's municipal cemetery built by the Dominicans during the Spanish colonial period. The cemetery was officially inaugurated in 1822, although it had been in use for two years prior to its completion. On December 30, 1896, Dr. José Rizal was interred at Paco Park after his execution at Bagumbayan. Interment at the Paco Cemetery ceased in 1912. The remains of those buried there were exhumed and transferred to other cemeteries but 65 people still remain buried at Paco. Nowadays Paco is a recreational park. It is open to the public daily. The entrance is free.
