#comuna13, or San Javier, is one of the 16 "comunas" (districts) of Medellín, Colombia. It is located on the western slopes of the city and is home to approximately 150,000 people. In the past, Comuna 13 was a dangerous place, known for its high levels of violence and crime. However, in recent years, the community has undergone a remarkable transformation. Thanks to the efforts of local residents, artists, and entrepreneurs, Comuna 13 is now a vibrant and welcoming place.
