The trip began with breakfast at The Daily Fix Café, a hidden gem tucked inside a heritage shophouse on Jonker Street. Known for its pandan pancakes and aromatic coffee, this cozy spot is the perfect place to fuel up for a day of exploration. The café’s rustic interiors, with antique furniture and old-school charm, make it a must-visit. After breakfast, I took a stroll past Melaka’s historic landmarks. The iconic Christ Church and Stadthuys in Dutch Square immediately transport you back in time with their striking red exteriors and colonial architecture. Nearby, the ruins ofA Famosa Fort and St. Paul’s Hill tell the story of Melaka’s rich history as a former Portuguese, Dutch, and British colony. Fun fact: Melaka was one of the most important trading ports in Southeast Asia during the 15th and 16th centuries. No trip to Melaka is complete without exploring Jonker Street.
