Milan Portrait Hotel The Milan Portrait Hotel is located in the center of Milan, in the Archbishop's Seminary, one of the oldest seminaries in the world. Over the centuries, it has been the boarding school of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria, a prison and government department during the Napoleonic era, and a military hospital during World War I. It was closed in 1990 and remained closed for more than 30 years until it was renovated into the Milan Portrait Hotel in December 2022, opening a new chapter and becoming a hotel in the Ferragamo neighborhood. The hotel rooms are mainly red, alternating with green, a complementary color scheme characteristic of Milanese homes, and some details in deep red pay homage to the founder of the former seminary, Cardinal St. Charles Borromeo. Guests can also enjoy the design and fashion charm of the Ferragamo brand through the photos, patents, and image artworks displayed in the hotel space. The Milan Portrait Hotel has transformed the former seminary into an all-in-one area for dining, drinking, and entertainment by opening up the square and leasing the ground floor space around the square corridor to partners, attracting Milanese citizens and tourists to experience the unique charm of the real historical atmosphere. Current partners include Italy's first Beefbar steakhouse, Europe's most advanced biohacking and anti-aging spa brand, The Longevity Spa, Milan's fashion pioneer Antonia boutique, and SO-LE STUDIO, an eco-friendly jewelry brand created by Maria Sole Ferragamo.
