Houguan Village in Minhou is a great place for leisure and vacation

It's not easy to find a place away from the hustle and bustle in the downtown area of Fuzhou, so one has to look further out, which is why Houguan in Minhou comes to mind, with its Houguan Village: admire ancient architecture, experience Houguan culture, and enjoy camping and playing in the water... Houguan Village is located in Shangjie Town of Minhou, and this thousand-year-old small village still has quite a few places worth visiting. 🔸 In Houguan Village, there is an old street about 1km long, but when you go there, there are hardly any shops or stalls open, just one or two vegetable shops and convenience stores. However, the brick-and-wood structured houses lining both sides of the street are still worth a careful look. 🔸 Luonü Temple and Zhenguo Pagoda The Luonü Temple is about 1km away from the ancient street of Houguan, right by the river, and the Zhenguo Pagoda stands on the open ground in front of the Luonü Temple. It is the iconic building of Houguan Village. Last time I went there, I could still see students coming to visit and learn. 🔸 Beaches There are two beaches in Houguan Village, one in front of the Luonü Temple and the other in front of the Houguan Village Viewing Platform, where you can wait for a beautiful riverside sunset, highly recommended! Houguan is really quiet on non-weekend days, very cold, so for those interested, avoid the crowds this May Day and come play. 🔸 Transportation Take the subway line 2 to Shangjie Station and then transfer to the No. 7 shuttle line, get off at Houguan Village Station By car, directly navigate to "Houguan Village Viewing Platform" (driving is recommended) 🔸 Food Haha, I haven't tried any good food yet, there are restaurants around, you might have to try for yourself
