You can see Mt Fuji in December everyday till you get bored 👀

#getgoing2025 I had been to Fujisan area for two times. The first time in Oct was completely no luck; while the second time in early June was super blessed to have seen it many times (as opposed to the rainy season), but there was no snow cap. So here I’m again for the 3rd time. I have to say, seeing Mt Fuji in December requires no luck, because it’s the month of highest number of days where one can see full or partial view of Mt Fuji. 📍Some places with the best views of Mt Fuji: 1) Tenku no Torii - a long queue tho, and at the entrance fee of 200yen; but even if you’re not going here, there are a few coffee trucks along the road to the waterfall that offers great photography perspectives 2) Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba - my new find this time, which I found it reluctant to share (because I would hope to keep it less crowded XD); it’s an open museum that feature the same type of traditional hut like Shirakawago but 10times more accessible (coz Shirakawago is super hard to go). 3) Arakurayama Sengen Park - super crowded too, but still a must-go for the trademark view of pagoda in the background of Mt Fuji 4) Hikawa Clock Shop - one of my most favorite views of Mt Fuji because of the shops seem to extend infinitely, making a really good framework for the shot 5) Oishi Park - of the five lakes, this is my favorite because it offers more varied foregrounds; but each lake has its own spot, most important thing is to see if it’s facing Mt Fuji right in the east/west, then you try to avoid visiting it in sunrise/sunset (else it’d be heavily backlit) 6) Yumeno Ohashi bridge - you’ll need a camera with good zooming power to fully appreciate this spot 📷 General tips: Visit in the early morning (or late evening). The harsh sunlight at noon will make the snow cap hardly visible in the picture, diminishing the beauty of Mt Fuji.
