Phra Pathommachedi Royal Temple.

Phra Pathommachedi is a first-class royal temple located in Phra Pathom Chedi Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Pathom District, Nakhon Pathom Province. Its most notable feature is the Phra Pathom Chedi or Phra Thom Chedi, which is one of the tallest and largest pagodas in Thailand (120.45 meters). The current Phra Pathom Chedi is a Lanka-style pagoda in the Sukhothai design, built during the reign of King Mongkut, covering two older pagodas: a stupa in the Indian style from the era of Emperor Ashoka, and an ancient Khmer-style pagoda. Besides the Phra Pathom Chedi, on the lower terrace to the south of the pagoda and in the ordination hall, there are the principal Buddha images, two of the four seated Buddha images with the posture of 'The Buddha Subduing Mara', which were created in the Dvaravati period.
