Exploring Long Waterfall, a hidden natural gem in Jiantan Village, Hewan Town, Nanling County, Wuhu City, is like discovering a dazzling jewel on the earth. Standing at the peak of Shuilong Mountain, a vast expanse of undulating mountains unfolds before your eyes, resembling a giant dragon swimming in a sea of green. The mountains are covered with lush trees, interspersed with colorful flowers, creating a captivating natural painting. 📍 Location: Shuilong Waterfall (Nanling County, Wuhu City) ⚠ Tip: There is a parking lot🅿 near the waterfall, about 400 meters away, a 10-minute walk. If it's a weekday, there are fewer people, and vehicles can continue to the end of the cement road, which is only 100 meters from the waterfall. However, please note that the road is narrow, making turning around and passing difficult, testing driving skills. It is advisable to ask other vehicles about the situation ahead before proceeding. 【Transportation Guide】 🚘 Driving is the best way to reach Shuilong Waterfall, as it is deep in the countryside, and after entering the country road, you still need to drive on mountain roads with no public transportation. From Nanjing, the estimated driving time is about 2.5 hours. 【Travel Tips】 ❶ This is a free natural attraction, currently no tickets are required, but construction is ongoing around it, and it may charge in the future. ❷ There is a small shop next to the waterfall offering instant noodles, snacks, and drinks. ❸ Viewing the waterfall does not require climbing, and the walking distance depends on the parking spot, ranging from 100 meters to 400 meters. The road is flat and easy to walk. ❹ It is very cool in front of the waterfall, so it is recommended to wear non-slip shoes or boots. Families with children can bring an extra set of clothes just in case. ❺ There is a small lake next to the waterfall, and the stream by the lake is a great place for fishing. ❻ If you want to go creek hiking, you can refer to the route in Figure 17. The source of the creek is at the top of the mountain, with a wide creek surface. The hiking path is a wild trail, so it is recommended to wear long pants and long boots when going into the water, and go in groups for safety! ❼ You can also pick fresh raspberries this season. 【Nearby Attractions】 ▪ Luling Village 🚘 17 minutes by car A quiet little village with a clear stream running through it. The food was delicious, especially the stream fish, which was tender and tasty, almost without bones. Although the journey is long and the mountain roads are rugged, the moment you see the waterfall, all the hardships become worthwhile. The waterfall itself is not spectacular, but it is great for photography. Don't forget the small bridge next to the waterfall, which is also a great spot for photos!
