Central Park, New York - The Lungs of New York

Central Park is a large public park located in the center of Manhattan, New York City, USA. It was originally planned in 1858 and opened to the public in 1873, covering an area of approximately 341 acres (about 1.3 square kilometers). It can be said that there is a view at every step, including Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, Bow Bridge, Great Lawn, Central Park Zoo, Belvedere Castle, and Cleopatra's Needle. Central Park In Central Park, you can see various cultural and artistic activities and outdoor activities everywhere. I went on September 8 and happened to encounter a charity run event on a Sunday. If you visit in winter, you can also enjoy ice and snow activities at the Wollman Rink. There are many different walking routes in Central Park. As a newcomer visiting for the first time, I chose the classic central-southern route. This route covers most of the classic attractions in the southern and central parts of Central Park: • The Mall and Literary Walk: Start here and stroll along the avenue lined with American elm trees. • Bethesda Terrace & Fountain: Admire the spectacular fountain and terrace. • The Lake & Bow Bridge & The Loeb Boathouse: Stroll by the lake and pass the iconic Bow Bridge. • The Ramble: Explore the forest area within the park. • Belvedere Castle: Climb the castle and overlook the Great Lawn. • The Great Lawn: Rest or have a picnic on the Great Lawn. • Strawberry Fields: A peaceful place in memory of John Lennon. • Sheep Meadow: A vast meadow perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. The park is large, and you can use GPS to locate the key attractions mentioned above and slowly enjoy the beautiful scenery. On an autumn morning, you will definitely not feel bored. My favorite is Bethesda Terrace & Fountain. Taking photos through the leaves offers a unique perspective. Central Park is truly a rare leisure space away from the hustle and bustle. There are also many museums worth exploring near Central Park, such as the American Museum of Natural History, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and more.
