Manzetang Wetland Nature Reserve Manzetang is an important water conservation area in the upper reaches of the Yellow River, featuring forests, grasslands, marsh wetlands, and meandering rivers. Personally, I think it offers better value than Moon Bay and the First Bend of the Yellow River, with fewer people and a more comfortable experience. The key point is that it is currently open for free. Standing on the viewing platform, you can order a cup of coffee (a bit pricey, but free hot water is provided) and gaze into the distance, taking in the rivers, hills, grasslands, cattle, sheep, and the tents of herders. Driving along County Road U08 to Manzetang offers stunning scenery, with leisurely cattle and sheep, rolling hills, vast grasslands, and blue skies with white clouds. It is picturesque, and in early summer, there are seas of flowers swaying in the wind. Finding a roadside viewing platform to sit quietly is very relaxing. 2. Dageze (Altitude 4200m) Dageze Scenic Area is located in a rare canyon area on the grassland. On the way to the scenic area, there is an undulating process of going up and down the mountain. Park at the foot of the mountain, as the altitude is relatively high, and walk slowly along the boardwalk, which takes no more than 40 minutes round trip. At the top, there are two alpine lakes on a flat road. Standing on the viewing platform, you can see grasslands in the distance, low trees on both sides of the boardwalk, and bare mountain peaks above the lakes. If needed, you can bring oxygen bottles. We brought our parents, and none of us used them, feeling quite well. Important point! On the way from Dageze to Hongyuan, you can choose not to take the national highway and instead take the small road to Longre Road (as shown in the picture). The scenery is great, and there are fewer cars.
