Crater Underground Forest | A Parent-Child Adventure into the Earth's Core

Driving up the winding road to the edge of the crater, Mom clutched the handrail and exclaimed, 'This road is steeper than the mountain paths back home!' We ventured deep into the underground forest along the wooden plank path, where ancient trees struggled skyward from the cracks in the rocks. She touched the bark and marveled at the resilience of life. At the 'Sky Viewing from the Well' observation deck, sunlight slanted down from the bowl-shaped crater, and Mom busily used her phone to capture the play of light. Along the way, we found a few wild blueberries, picked them, and fed each other, laughing at the sour taste. In front of the lava tunnel, she hesitated to go further, and I took her arm and said, 'You taught me to walk when I was little, now it's my turn to take you on an adventure.' The sound of dripping water echoed in the cave, mingling with the laughter of two generations.
