One-day City Walk in Novi Sad, Serbia

Novi Sad is my favorite city in Serbia. It is really "ruthless" in Europe, with clean and tidy cityscape, pleasant climate and warm people. If there is a shortcoming, it is that there are not many historical sites, but at least you can spend a day in the city walk to ensure that your investment is worthwhile. 🏞Route: Petrovaradin Fortress~Liberty Square~Cathedral of the Name of Mary~Novosadska sinagoga 1⃣Petrovaradin Fortress Climbing this magnificent ancient fortress on the Danube River, you can overlook the entire city of Novi Sad. The scenery is beautiful. The big clock on the top of the mountain is a must-see landmark. 🏰The highlight is not only the topview of the entire city, but also the mysterious underground world under the fortress. 👉There is no entrance fee to the fortress, but there is a fee for the underground museum, but it is not open often. If you have time, you can sign up for an underground world adventure tour. 2⃣Liberty Square Liberty Square in the city center is definitely the most romantic place in my mind, especially when night falls. 🚩 There are many restaurants and cafes around the square. It is so relaxing to have a cup of coffee when you are tired of shopping. 👉It is recommended to stay near the square, it is very convenient to go anywhere 3⃣Cathedral of the Name of Mary This tallest spire church is very conspicuous in the square. The Cathedral of Santa Maria not only has a unique architectural style, but also has exquisite decorations inside the church, which is definitely the best background for checking in. 👉You need to use an ultra-wide-angle lens to take photos, and come early in the morning when there are fewer people. 4⃣Novi Sad Synagogue (Novosadska sinagoga) This synagogue in Novi Sad is one of the few remaining in the country. 🕌Here you can learn about the Jewish culture and history of Serbia. 👉The church door is usually locked. To get in, you have to find someone to open the door, and the person who opens the door will collect some tips as an entrance fee. 📍There will be a free tour (free city tour) next to Freedom Square every day, usually once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The tour guide will take you to visit important attractions in the city and give explanations in English. Just give some tips at the end.
