Jinsha River Grand Canyon Viewing Platform

❥ The Jinsha River Grand Canyon Viewing Platform is one of the 100 most beautiful viewing spots in Sichuan. Originating from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Jinsha River runs about 140 kilometers within the territory of Panzhihua, two-thirds of which is located within Renhe District. The hundred-mile river section embodies the heroic spirit of the Third Front Movement. The Jinsha River is the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and the city of Panzhihua in Sichuan is built adjacent to the Jinsha River, known as the first city on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. ❥ The Jinsha River Viewing Platform is less than 2 kilometers away from Yishala Ancient Village, and you can visit Yishala and the viewing platform together. This is a free scenic area, with a free parking lot at the viewing platform sign. The road to the Jinsha River Viewing Platform is a two-way traffic lane. During holidays or when cars are parked haphazardly, it can easily cause traffic congestion. ❥ The vegetation on the mountains around the grand canyon is sparse, giving a sense of desolation and ruggedness. Walking on top of the grand canyon, one can not only see the emerald waters of the Jinsha River but also feel the exhilaration of riding the wind in the air and experience the carefree feeling of standing high above, with the mighty river wind blowing. ❥ Following the road downhill, you can reach the Jinsha River Viewing Platform, which is at an altitude of 1650 meters. There is a glass walkway here, overlooking the Jinsha River. Standing on the glass viewing platform and looking out over the grand canyon, one can feel the vastness between heaven and earth, take in the grandeur of the Jinsha River Grand Canyon, watch the river rushing by, and experience the openness and magnanimity of the Panxi Grand Canyon. Because it was about to rain and the wind was strong, we turned back halfway and did not make it to the viewing platform, which was a bit regrettable.
