The Splendid Centennial of Ayutthaya, Thailand|Come here to understand the history of Thailand

Six years later, I returned to Ayutthaya, Thailand, one of my favorite destinations. This place was once the capital of the Ayutthaya Dynasty in Thailand, which flourished for hundreds of years from 1350 to 1767. It takes about an hour to drive from Bangkok to Ayutthaya. Because it's Christmas, there are some markets along the way, so there's a bit of traffic. The central area of Ayutthaya is where the ancient palace of the Ayutthaya Dynasty is located. In the ruins of the ancient palace, only three pagodas built in the 15th century remain, which are well preserved. Their carvings, lines, shapes, and architectural skills are all characteristic of the ancient art of Ayutthaya. There are two places in Ayutthaya that you must visit. One is Wat Chaiwatthanaram, which is located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, outside Ayutthaya Island. It is one of the most magnificent and beautiful temples in Ayutthaya and a tourist attraction. In 1630, King Prasat Thong of the Ayutthaya Kingdom ordered the construction of the temple in memory of his mother who lived in the area. The design style is Khmer, which was the popular architectural style at the time. In the center of the pagoda group is a large Khmer-style pagoda, surrounded by four small pagodas, and eight smaller pagodas and gates on the outer ring. Around the 13 high pagodas are 120 seated Buddhas, and 12 large Buddhas are seated in the eight small pagodas. The second is Wat Mahathat. It is located in the center of Ayutthaya, the oldest capital of Thailand, and is the central temple of the city. There are moats on all sides. It was built from the time of King Intharacha and completed in 1345 during the reign of King Lithai. It is a royal temple. There were originally 209 pagodas and 10 monasteries in the temple, but most of them are only left with the foundation. Inside the temple, there is a central pagoda platform, surrounded by small pagodas with Buddha niches on all sides and temple-style pagodas. The central pagoda is made of red soil and then plastered with gray mud. The lotus bud-shaped top of the pagoda is called Sukhothai style, which is different from the pagodas in other countries. There is also the Victory Great Pagoda built in the 13th century, built during the reign of King Uthong, the founder of the Ayutthaya Dynasty. The entire temple building is magnificent and exquisite. It is the oldest existing building in Ayutthaya. The temple is now known for its reclining Buddha and pagoda. There are dozens of seated Buddha statues around the pagoda. In addition, there is a temple ruin on the bank of the Menam River, with only more than ten pagodas left. Taking a boat tour along the Menam River, the spires on both sides of the river are solemn and magnificent, which is amazing. The mobile wifi for this trip to Thailand has received strong support from Roaming Man, allowing me to share travel stories with you anytime, anywhere.

Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Sawadee ka, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. Recently I feel like I've lost a lot of weight because I walk a lot every day, but my face still looks chubby in the camera. Rice-eating people have a rice-eating soul, walking during the day and using rice to come back at night, haha. The little elephant is so cute, and the night market is really lively. It has a festive atmosphere with fireworks, which is even more exciting than many night markets in China. Today, I was invited by the girl from the milk tea shop to take a photo together, haha.
